The Cupcake Bar's Chief Celebration Officer and Latina owner, Lori

Hi! I’m Lori.

Since 2007, I've had the privilege of turning celebrations into unforgettable experiences. After graduating from Texas A&M University and Le Cordon Bleu, I launched the first interactive cupcake bar catering service in the U.S. right here in Austin.

Whether it's a wedding, a corporate gift, or a virtual class, I know how important it is to create meaningful moments that bring people together—and I’m honored to be trusted with making those moments happen, every time.

Celebrating

We’re proud to call Austin home, and we’re deeply committed to giving back to the community that has supported us. In 2024, we were honored to be a recipient of the Siete Juntos Fund, furthering our dedication to making a difference.

Through partnerships with local nonprofits and other like-minded businesses, we help strengthen the organizations that have a lasting, positive impact on our city. This is our way of contributing to the vibrant, diverse community that inspires us every day.

From Cupcakes to Confetti:

The Cupcake Bar’s Story

We launched the nation’s first interactive Cupcake Bar in 2007 and loved watching people’s faces light up as they designed the the cupcake of their dreams! From there, our dessert services expanded to include our Doughnut Bar, Caramel Apple Bar, Roaming Treats, and more.

In March 2020, as a result of COVID, the events industry as we knew it collapsed overnight. Without revenue to sustain us, we were on the verge of closing. Thankfully, our amazing customers trusted us to keep the party going through corporate gifting and virtual classes—often without a cupcake in sight!

Though our services have evolved over the years, the heart of what we stand for has remained the same: we’re here to bring people together through celebrations. As we look ahead, we’re committed to delivering personalized and meaningful experiences, exceptional customer service, and making a positive community impact. Let’s celebrate everything!

5 star review of The Cupcake Bar for exceptional customer service

“When I was tasked with finding gifts for our ERG members, our CEO's one request was that it be memorable. TCB absolutely nailed it! They went above and beyond, and the gifts were a huge hit! I still hear about how thoughtful they were. Working with them was the best decision I made – they truly helped us show our appreciation and made our ERG leaders feel valued and recognized.”
